Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has played down any face off with defender Harry Maguire.
He says he has a ‘very good’ relationship with the Englishman.
KemiFilani reported how Onana ran out from his goal during the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of the US to shout at Maguire during a 3-2 loss to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas.
Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher then slammed the goalkeeper, suggesting that the Cameroonian ranted at the defender in an attempt to endear himself to the club’s supporters.
But speaking ahead of the Red Devils’ Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich, the former Ajax and Inter Milan goalkeeper told reporters, “No, Harry is a very good guy, I have a good relationship with him, I even spoke with him this morning before we took off for Munich.
“What happened there, I already explained straight after the game.
“I don’t think we have to give importance to what happened because we are big guys and what happens on the pitch stays on the pitch and we definitely have a good relationship.”
