Dele Alli is “close” to joining Besiktas, either permanently or on a loan with a buyout option at the end of this season.
The midfielder left Tottenham Hotspur for Everton in January on an initial free transfer after seeing his career stall in north London.
Once Dele made a certain number of appearances, Everton would have to pay Spurs, and bonuses could have increased the contract’s value to £40 million.
Although Dele has struggled at Goodison Park, the English international has only made one Premier League start for the team.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas of Turkey are “really pushing” to sign the 26-year-old, who views playing time as a “priority.”

When Dele first transferred to Spurs from MK Dons in 2015, he was considered one of Europe’s most promising young players.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, he made a name for himself as a first-team regular. After scoring 23 goals in his first season, he was named PFA Young Player of the Year.
He made his England debut in the same year and established himself as a mainstay of the team.
He has played 39 times for the Three Lions, but his last game for them was in 2019.
Besiktas has won the Turkish Super Lig 16 times, but they will not be participating in any European competitions this year due to a disappointing sixth-place showing in 21/22.
