Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea winger, is set to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old English forward hasn’t played for Chelsea this season, but he did last year, when he made 15 Premier League appearances.
He left for Germany on Monday to undergo a medical exam; an announcement is anticipated in the following day.
Bayern Munich, the reigning German champion, had a £35 million offer for Hudson-Odoi rejected in 2019.
He committed to a five-year deal worth more than £120,000 per week with the Blues in September 2019, but since tearing his Achilles that same year, he has struggled to secure a regular starting position.
