A woman identified as Blessing in Obuno Umuochefu, Igbo-Ukwu in
Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra state has been arrested for
unjustifiably sending four children to their early grave on the 15th of
January.
Dailpost reports that the four children she strangled, Chukwuebuka (13),
Chukwumelum (6), Obumneme (3) and 15-month-old Chinenyenwa, belonged to
her lover, Mr. Ogechukwu Okonkwo.
After having carried out her deadly mission, the woman allegedly sat
beside the dead bodies, waited for the return of their parents, and
launched an attack on their mother, Mrs Nwanneka Okonkwo.
The bereaved mother disclosed that the eldest of her children,
Chukwuebuka, was the first victim, adding that his lifeless body was
found inside an underground tank in the compound.
The suspect was on the verge of being
lynched by the youth in the community when the police and the local
vigilante arrived.
Mr. Okonkwo confirmed that he had been dating the suspect, and had been battling to stop.
Confirming the tragic incident, the Police Public Relations Officer
(PPRO) in Anambra State, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka, stated that the State’s
Criminal Investigation Department was looking into the case.
