Mrs Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Afenifere leader Pa Fasoranti, will be laid to rest on Monday, July 22.
A service will hold at Saint David Anglican Cathedral Ijomu in Akure, Ondo State, around 11am. Interment will continue at the church’s cemetery.
Mrs Funke Olakunrin was killed by suspected bandits while she was traveling along Ore-Sagamu road on July 12.
According to her elder brother, the police men at their station told him that she was killed by Fulani herdsmen.
Her father Pa Fasoranti, in an interview with Channels TV, could be seen crying about how Fulani herdsmen have been operating everywhere and preventing people from going to farms.
However, a statement by the state police command debunks the claim about Mrs Funke’s murder. According to the commissioner of police, the killers were a robbery gang.
