Hi Kemi, I trust this meets you well.
This is not just a testimony but a lesson to all female readers of your blog.
This
is a personal testimony and l have to share it because someone is out
there who will benefit the most out of it. Someone who is passing through
the road l had taken some years back and God Almighty brought me out on
the other better side.
Praise to Him Who sees beyond our limitations and puts our feet on the
Rock that never fails.
While l was still a matured young girl, l had problems of making a
choice among the men that gave the impression of loving me and wanted to
marry me. They were six in number trying to outplay or outdo any other
‘contestant’.
I “loved’ three of them very well, though l had a very soft spot for one
out of the three most-liked friends.
We were great friends, l mean, l and each of them.
We would share things
and played together, (Note, no strings attached).
We met different times. One or two of them went to the same Secondary
school with me. Another, we met at the University.
While the rest, came
on board from the different stages of life l then walked.
I needed God’s guidance.l was afraid of choosing out of sight.
You
may not know how serious the situation was to me.
If they were not humans but things, l would have loved having them
around me and me alone.
I went to my Pastor to tell him the dilemma l was in. I wanted him,
really wanted him to choose by the help of God speaking through him,
which man out of them.
My Pastor just laughed and asked me to read a Scripture from the
Bible, that is, Acts.1:24-26.
It’s a story about the disciples in replacing Judas Iscariot, put two
men before God asking Him to choose from the two. God was limited. He
had no option but to pick one out of the two presented to Him.
HE chose
Matthias. Nothing else was heard about him after the election. He was
just a number – the 12th.
God could not be limited.
He had His own plan B, went after Saul,
changed him to Paul and worked on him. This one shook his generation.
Sorry l am telling u this. The story registered in my spirit. I
decided to commit myself more to God and the things of God.
l refused to
be pressurized into marriage. Wait more time for me, l told each of
them.
Truly, like the story in the Bible, they left. Just like that, we lost
contact. I felt lonely as none of my supposed close-to- be-fiancé was
nowhere around.
I got busy for God.
Thank God for the school of Patience.
A young man whom God had used me to bring closer to HIM came back to meet
me. From there, a pure relationship blossomed. With no doubt and souls
knitted together, we got married 18years ago.Our home is put into the
hands of God, the Maker of all things. HE is always by our side.
We are serving God together because we love him and HE too has been
Everything to us. God in His infinite mercies has settled us. What a
beautiful thing to know the Lord.
