Unmistakably present at the 2016 combined convocation ceremony of Imo State University (IMSU) was Govornor Rochas Okorocha who gifted the best graduating student,Dr Chigozie Ekenze,N13.7million for further studies leaving him openly broken down in tears.
The money is to enable the optometrist who lost his dad shortly after gaining admission into IMSU proceed for his Post Graduate Program in London.
Having taken advantage of the free education given to Imo indigenes by Gov. Okorocha which enabled him complete his studies in IMSU.it was evident that the scholar was overjoyed that the opportunity for him to further his studies again presented itself
While receiving the cheque from Mrs Ugo Nneoma Rochas Okorocha,he knelt down and broke down in tears.He cried uncontrollably for several minutes with overwhelming joy from family and friends.
It should be recalled that Governor Okorocha had earlier granted hin automatic employment as lecturer in IMSU.
