Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, has revealed how the First Lady of Kebbi State, Zainab Bagudu, invited him for a private meeting after insulting him on social media.
This was after the both of them got involved in an argument concerning claims that the Kebbi State House of Assembly refused to confirm Justice Asabe Karatu as the Chief Justice of the State because she’s Christian.
A certain Miriam Shehu reacted to the claim on Twitter by accusing Zainab Bagudu and her husband the governor of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, of being brains behind the refusal to confirm Asabe Karatu:
“This devilish woman and her Husband, the governor of Kebbi state refused to confirm Asabe Karatu as the state’s CJ because of her faith. You are a disgrace Zainab. Power is transient. Your husband can’t continue as governor forever. You will account for your evil deeds someday”.
In reaction, Femi Fani-Kayode, FFK, who was earlier “insulted” by the First Lady, revealed how she later called him for a private meeting.
He tweeted:
“Well spoken. When I raised this issue of great national importance she said that I should be ignored and that I am looking for attention. When I told her off and said that I am not interested in her attention and that I don’t do other peoples wives she invited me to Kebbi…
..for a visit and said I should come and see her cows.This is someone who I have known since she was 15 and someone whose father I reverred.
Instead of offering a plausible explanation for her husbands shameful behaviour or calling me privately to put their side of the story..
.. she insulted me publicly.Well I am not surprised.After all I am just a Christian. The attitude of these people amazes me.Meanwhile I spoke to the former CJ Asabe Karatu at length and thestory is even worse than the public is aware of.
