Nigerian superstar singer, Bukola Elemide aka Aṣa, has revealed why she featured Grammy Award winner Wizkid on her latest album V.
Both artistes collaborated on a track titled ‘IDG’ (I don’t go).
Asa explained that she decided to work with Wizkid, because there was a natural chemistry between them.
“With Wizkid, there’s a friendship. Before the music, we sit down, we have a drink and just talk about all kinds of things— animals and normal things about his life,” she said.
Continuing she explained: “I thought it (the song) would be great with Wizkid because it fits his temperament, so I sent it to him and he loved it. It was natural.
“Before we do a song, I want it to be honest. We should have a connection with all these collaborators (on the album), that was what we did.”
Seven years ago, Wizkid had taken to his Twitter page to express his desire to work with Aṣa.
