Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede has taken a swipe at the disgraced singer, Naira Marley, and his aide, Sam Larry for underestimating his former signee, Mohbad.
Last night, thousands of youths came out to honor the late singer with a candlelight service.
Sharing clips from the touching event, Yvonne shaded Naira and his crew for underestimating Mohbad. She noted how they thought he was an ant, who they could squash easily.
Yvonne added that Naira Marley overestimated himself and hasn’t seen anything yet.
“Sam Larry, you underestimated Imole’s glory, e shock you Abi? You thought he was an any that you could squash? You never see anything at all. Naira Marley, you overestimated yourself, take a look at DJ Splash’s present condition. How intoxicated did you get with power and money to subject people’s children to such?”.
Since Mohbad’s demise, the singer has been receiving an outpour of love from celebrities and Nigerians. The likes of Iyabo Ojo, Tonto Dikeh, Paulo Okoye, Davido, Soso Soberekon, and more have shown public support for him.
A day back, Iyabo Ojo, Foluke Daramola, Kiekie, and others visited the commissioner of police’s office.
Iyabo in an update to her fans stated that since their peaceful walk for Mohbad, scheduled on September 19, was canceled, the commissioner of police asked them to come and discuss the case in his office.
The actress was seen with her colleague Foluke Daramola and skit maker Kiekie, alongside many others as they all wore t-shirts with the words ‘Justice for Mohbad’ written on them.
Iyabo, who has been very active in the Mohbad case, assured her fans that they would be updated on the proceedings of the meeting on her page.
The movie star had even paid a visit to former Marlian in-house DJ, DJ Splash, where he narrated his ordeals in the hands of Naira Marley and his gang and how he met the singer.
He disclosed how Naira Marley introduced him to a different life and had plotted to make him mad after he informed him of his decision to start singing aside the DJ job.
Tonto Dikeh, through her foundation, had offered a scholarship to Mohbad’s son and had promised to place his wife on a monthly allowance.
She had publicly tackled Naira Marley after he raised a series of questions for Nigerians while reacting to the death of Mohbad.
Telling him to shut up, she told him not to take Mohbad’s fans for a fool, while adding that he looks prettier with his mouth closed.
She had even gone as far as clashing with her bff, Angela Okorie over her relationship with Naira Marley.
