Sunmbo Adeoye, the wife of clergyman Pastor Adeoye and babymama of singer 2face, is reflecting on her growth.
Taking to her Instagram page to share her before photos, she noted how 19 years ago, she joined Royalty Christian Centre, Lagos, lost but hopeful, and the word of God started working in and on her.
She stated that first, her mindset was changed, and even while she struggled, God saved her. Reflecting on her life, Sunmbo stated that she is amazed at how much she has grown under the leadership of her husband and pastor and how the word of God has transformed her life from the inside.
Today, she is who she is by the special grace of God and through the power of His Word.
“19 years ago, I joined Royalty Christian Centre, Lagos. I was lost but hopeful, and the Word of God started working in and on me.
First, my mindset changed; it was like a complete overhaul. Sometimes, I allowed the Word to do its work; other times, I struggled, but eventually, God saved me.
I am amazed at how much I have grown under the leadership of my Pastor, @DavidoAdeoye and how the Word has transformed my life from the inside out.
Today, I am who I am by the special grace of God and through the power of His Word.

Sunmbo isn’t the only one reflecting on her growth. A few days back, Nigerian comedian and content creator Abdudlgafar Abiola, better known as Cute Abiola, reflected on his growth. Taking to his Instagram page to share some epic throwback photos of himself, Cute Abiola revealed that he is always shocked by his growth. Throwing a rhetorical question, he wondered how he could transform from his past.
Similarly, early this year, Funke Akindele reflected on her growth. The movie star, while partaking in a trending TikTok challenge, shared before and after photos of herself, which left many in awe of her transformation. Funke made it known that she didn’t bleach her skin as she admonished her fans and followers to her forget the days of their little beginnings. Sharing a message for them, she told them to be inspired and stay focused as someday they will get there.
