Sensational Nigerian female singer Simi has revealed a big secret about his new single ‘Woman‘ after she clashed with a fan on Twitter.
For the past few weeks, Simi engaged many female Nigerian celebrities on the #NobodyLikeWoman Challenge, sharing monochrome photos with an inscription of demeaning things people say about them.
However, many people thought the singer was doing the challenge for a song she was about to record, but the singer shocked her fans and dropped the son on Friday, 15th October.
Reacting to this, a Twitter user questioned if Simi recorded the song in 2019 as it came as a surprise to many Nigerians.
Responding, Simi admitted that she recorded the new single in 2019, but she decided to wait to release the song after her delivery because of her pregnancy.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Simi penned a lengthy, powerful and motivational message to women before the new song was released.
In a recent statement via her IG account, Simi said she hoped people would be mindful of the words they say and the seeds that they plant in the lives of people.
She wrote: In less than 12 hours, by the grace of God, my single WOMAN will be with you. I’m grateful for every Woman that is standing in the gap for all of us. Your vulnerability is courage.
I hope that, going forward, we are mindful of the words we say and the seeds that we plant in the lives of people. I also hope that we learn to support and protect women that are not able to do so for themselves. Now we celebrate Women!.
