Social media users are reacting to an alleged report that Funke Akindele and her protege, Tobi Makinde better known as Timini.
According to reports online, Funke and Tobi are having issues because Tobi wants to explore other fields but Funke doesn’t want him to work for other productions except hers.
To verify the news, Kemi Filani did a check on Tobi Makinde’s Instagram page and noticed that Funke Akindele hasn’t been liking or commenting on his posts like she used to. Kemi Filani even noticed that she omitted him when giving a shout-out at her premiere and he isn’t in any promotional video or skit for Funke Akindele’s new movie, A Tr!be Called Judah, rather Juliana Olayode has been the one helping the box office Queen promote her new project, which Tobi Makinde directed.
While others supported Tobi from moving away from her, others reminded that his colleague, Juliana Olayode popularly known as Toyo Baby took such steps but returned to the actress.

Recall that in May, Juliana Olayode popularly known as Toyo Baby surprised many when she tendered a deep apology to Funke Akindele after they fell apart for undisclosed reasons in 2017 after Juliana starred in Funke Akindele’s hit series, ‘Jenifa’s Diary’.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Juliana Olayode reflected on how she rose to fame overnight by playing the lead role in Funke Akindele’s movie, as she noted how God used Funke to put her into the limelight and how she became overwhelmed with the fame she received
Narrating what led to their beef, Juliana tendered a public apology to the actress for being misled, and Akindele accepted the apology with open arms.
It was alleged that Funke Akindele removed Juliana from the series over what the latter termed ‘bad pay’, as Juliana had requested an increment in pay which didn’t go well with
Funke Akindele who felt she was an ingrate.
Sources close to Scene One Productions, producers of Jenifa’s Diary, further revealed to TNS that the producer of the show, Funke Akinkele via her production manager and younger sister – Abimbola – pays actors between N3,000 and N150,000 (per episode/season of the show) depending on the role.
Following their reconciliation, Funke has ditched Tobi and has been using Juliana Olayode in her promotional videos for A Tr!be Called Judah.
