Popular Nigerian actor, IK Ogbonna, caused a buzz on social media after he took to his page to advise fans on how to take care of their parents.
On his Instagram story, the movie star shared a post where he told netizens to make sure to honour their parents.
According to IK Ogbonna, people need to always respect and honour their parents. The movie star did not stop there, he went ahead to give his reasons.
The Nollywood star and father of two explained that many parents are not where they are meant to be because they sacrificed their personal growth for their children.
On a final note, the actor added that it’s time for their children to pay them back.
In his words: “Dear bros/ sis, Respect and honour your parents always. Many parents are not where they are meant to be coz they sacrificed their personal growth for yours. It’s time to pay them back.”
This is coming after controversial On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze warned mothers to cease from taking money from their kids with the intentions of not paying back.
Freeze said this while reacting to the post of an Instagram user who claimed he borrowed his mum money to buy a bag and when it was time to pay back she gave him funny excuses.
The account with the handle, @Dekunle27 wrote, “I borrowed someone € 350 to buy bag, e reach time to collect am back, she’s telling me she carried me for nine months.”
In response to this, Daddy Freeze claimed it’s manipulation under disguise and should be avoided.
He wrote: “Let’s be careful of what we normalize. This is NOT cute! It’s downright manipulative.

If your mother wants you to dash her money, she should come out and say so! Also as a child you are obliged to give HER whatever you CAN AFFORD for a bag. Health, shelter etc are priorities, not a bag. But if you can afford it, buy it for her, but be firm enough to let her know that a loan must be repaid.
