Former Big Brother Naija Housemate Erica has reminisced on the occurrences in her life after her disqualification from the reality TV show.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Erica was disqualified for the ‘LockDown’ Edition after she got two strikes and body shammed her fellow housemate Laycon.
In a lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, the reality star cum actress said for the past one year, and she has been working single-minded, almost like a robot, not thinking how far she has gone.
Erica said irrespective of being confused about her goals, all she wanted was to make people around her proud hence her life was on a fast forward, which later took a toll on her, and she decided to take a break to heal.
However, a loved one questioned her on what she would tell herself, recalling her disqualification, which took place on 6th September 2020.
According to Erica, she could not understand how she successfully avoided thinking about any of the traumatic experiences that happened to her after the disqualification. Still, she spoke to herself, forgave and applauded herself.
Erica added that at those moments of fear and sadness, she promised herself that she would be proud of herself in few months and would be rounded by so much love.
The past one year I’ve been working, single-minded, almost like a robot, not thinking of how far I’ve come, just focused on my goals, trying to outdo myself, trying to make everyone around me proud, my life has been on fast forward & It was a lot.
It took its toll on me and I had to take a break to heal and I thought rest was all I needed until a loved one asked me what I would tell the Erica of September 6 2020, I thought about it and couldn’t breathe.
I couldn’t understand how I had successfully avoided thinking about any of the traumatic experiences that had happened to me in the past one year. it was a struggle to think back to those moments of fear and sadness but I did, I spoke to Erica, I forgave her, I applauded her,.
I promised her she would be proud of herself in a few months and she would be surrounded by so much love. I’m healed and I’ve come so far!!
