Simi Esiri, the estranged wife of singer, Dr Sid has gone all out to ensure that their daughter, Sidney had the most memorable pool party for her 7th birthday over the weekend.
Sharing photos from the pool party which had Dr Sid in absentia, the excited mum wrote on Instagram that the birthday girl had 20 of her classmates in attendance.
“My baby girl Sidney turned 7 yesterday!
When your daughter tells her 20 friends in class, she’s having a pool party at home and you’re the last to get the memo with less than a week to plan.
Happy birthday to my darling first born! We love you so much, you bring so much joy and happiness to our lives. My sweet, wonderful daughter, may you continue to grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. May you always be a blessing to our family, your generation and beyond, amen. You’re growing bigger everyday and I can only thank God for you.

Kemi Filani recalls that Simi and Dr Sid got engaged back in 2013 and tied the knot in 2014. Also, their first child was welcomed in 2015 and the second in 2018. They divorced in 2020.
The editor-in-chief of Schick Magazine, Simi announced their split with a post on her Instagram while discrediting claims that accused her of domestic violence, and that their main priority now will be “focused on working together as co-parents”.
So far, Dr Sid hasn’t released any statement from his end and remains silent on the issue at hand.
