In a recent development, controversial Twitter personality Daniel Regha has recently taken to the X platform to slam a particular tribe in Nigeria for their indifference towards the current economic predicament in Nigeria.
He revealed that if people choose to stay silent during this hard period because of ethnicity or because their preferred candidate did not win, then they are worse than the leaders in power.
He further stated that at the end of the day, their silence would change nothing and that the frustration in the economy would touch everybody in Nigeria. He also expressed that if people decide to play politics with this situation of things, the hardship will still spread across all tribes.
In his words, he says,
“if you choose to stay silent over this hardship because of ethnicity or your candidate did not win, you are worse than the leaders in power. At the end of the day, your silence changes nothing.
The frustration will touch us all and the politicians you defend remain unaffected. Keep deceiving yourself. No one asks if you’re evil outside of Europe or before selling goods or arranging services. No one cares if you voted for the APC, PDP, LP, NNPP or any opposition party. It’s a fixed price for everyone. So if you like, choose to play politics with the situation of things.”
