The gifting culture of BBNaija fans must have skipped a season because for the first time in a long time, a housemate is complaining about not getting gifts for their birthday, and it’s no other person than Fairme.
The latest BBNaija alum went live on Instagram, lamenting bitterly about the fact that he didn’t get any gifts on his birthday from his fans, and he cited that he only got birthday wishes.
He also said that he wasn’t sure if he really had fans because on his birthday, instead of celebrating, he’s lying down in his bed like an ‘orphan’.
On a lighter note, Fairme said that it was only his fellow housemates that were gifting him money, and no one else had asked for his account nunber.
One of his fans joined him during his live session rant and advised him to pin his account number to the live chat so that benevolent fans could gift him, and he did just that.
Over the years, there has been a massive gifting culture for BBNaija alums from their fans, especially when they’re fresh out of the house.
Fans usually go overboard, gifting their favorite housemates millions of Naira, including cars and houses.
A few years back, Nengi Hampson claimed that she got her luxurious car from fans for her birthday, and this created a lot of debate online whether it was true or not.
Just last year, BBNaija’s Ceec got a house from her fans, and she expressed how happy she was, citing that she initially wanted to relocate from the country, but the house had changed her mind, so she would stay back.
Also, in the early parts of this year, BBNaija’s Angel got the sum of two-million Naira from her fans as a birthday gift, alongside other items.
