When it comes to giving birth to a child, most people believe the hospital to be the most appropriate location. This is because having a child is a very important affair that should be addressed professionally.
However, the world has evolved, and as a result, many things have altered. One of these changes is the rise in the number of women giving birth at home.
Regardless, there are a variety of reasons why this occurs. Some people decide that this is the best course of action for them, but others find themselves in an unexpected scenario due to a variety of causes.
Some celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, have also been able to pull this off. Some of them prefer to give birth to their child at home rather than in a hospital.
Three of these celebrities are listed below;
1. Teyana Taylor
According to her social media profiles, singer and performer Teyana Taylor gave birth to her second child at home in 2020. This was not the singer’s first meeting with a similar circumstance.
In 2015, she gave birth to her first daughter in her home’s bathroom. Her second daughter, born five years later, was born using the same manner.
2. Korra Obidi
Korra Obidi, a Nigerian singer and dancer, gave birth to her second child in March 2022 at her home. The singer streamed live on Facebook shortly before giving birth, and the entire incident was videotaped. Korra Obidi’s home delivery appears to have been made feasible by her husband’s profession as a doctor.
The ballerina was able to give birth to her second child naturally, thanks to the assistance of her spouse.
Her spouse, Dr. Dean Justin, an American doctor and sports therapist, said the treatment was swift, lasting only two and a half hours. The doctor went on to remark that his wife, Korra, is a strong woman, as evidenced by her lack of concern during the delivery.
A few days after giving birth, the dancer posted images of herself on social media to show her fans how she looked before and after her waterbirth.
3. Lauren Wood
Laureen Wood, an American singer-songwriter and actor, gave birth to her first child in February 2022. She gave birth on her bed, with the help of her husband, Odell Beckham Jr., who was also present.
When asked about the birth, Laureen described pushing the baby out of her while lying in her bed at home.
She continued by saying that it would be delivered to her house in three hours.
Lauren Wood thanked her child for being “gentle and sensitive to my body” after three-hour home delivery.
