Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha Akide has thrown a question at Nigerians and those in diaspora about the predicament facing the country.
The reality star pointed out how Nigerians have achieved a great feat in the music industry but are yet to effect positive changes on the economy.
Noting how Nigerian singers have sold out 02 Arena, shut down Madison Square Garden, and have taken Afrobeat worldwide, she questioned how this generation would be able to tell the future generations why we were unable to effect changes in our country despite the achievement we have recorded in the music industry.
Tacha added that she was confused and needs clarification.
She tweeted, “Are we going to tell our kids how we sold out 02 Arena? Shut down Madison Square Garden and took AFROBEAT WORLDWIDE But couldn’t EFFECT CHANGE IN THE COUNTRY we claim to love!! I’m really confuse! Help me out here”.
She added, “What excuse will you give your kids as to why the country is the way it is?? We have to move pass criticizing and having conversations about “the problem” to actually GETTING INVOLVED!”.
Tacha isn’t the only one who has voiced out over the dwindling economy in the country.
Kemi Filani news recalls Legendary singer, 2face had blasted the current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari for poor performance.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, 2face said that since Buhari is responsible for the whole problem in Nigeria, everyone in public office should resign, from the governors to the local government chairmen.
2face said it was necessary they resign since they do not have anything to contribute to the country’s growth because the current administration’s shamelessness is beyond comprehension.
