Award-winning Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has reacted to the criticisms he received for shading music star, Wizkid over his comment on Davido’s wedding.
Kemi Filani reported that Wizkid had shaded his rival Davido, and his wife-to-be, Chioma by offering a prayer for understanding women on earth.
His statement didn’t sit well with many as they noted the hypocrisy at which his girlfriend abd manager, Jada Pollock is also an understanding woman.
Weighing in, Basketmouth noted how Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space, to the extent that no one cared about Wizkid’s shady post. His comment didn’t sit well with many who criticized him.
Reacting to it, Basketmouth via his Instagram story reposted a fan’s comment on his post where he defended the comedian. The fan noted how Basketmouth a comedian and as such, was just making a frivolous post. He questioned why people were taking it to heart as he believes even Wizkid would laugh over the post.
“All of you here that have no sense of humor, you realize that, Basketmouth is a comedian and this is just a frivolous post. Even Wizkid will read this and laugh it off. Why take this kind of thing so seriously?”.
Similarly, actress, Didi Ekanem had slammed Wizkid over his statement. She stated that the prayer is perfect for his woman, Jada Pollock because she needed it more as she called the singer childish.
Ubi Franklin’s babymama, Sandra Iheuwa noted the irony at which he was shading Davido for something he is also guilty of.
For some months now, Davido and Wizkid have been at each other throats after Wizkid made controversial tweets that irked Davido’s followers. The duo went low as using their private life to make comebacks against each other. Davido spoke about how Wizkid domestically abused his girlfriend and baby mama, Jada Pollock, while Wizkid taunted him for begging for s#x from one of his multiple side chicks.
Also, Wizkid taunted Davido when the latter launched a meme coin, as he urged his fans to work smart so as not to hustle like a fool.
