Nollywood actress and content creator Funke Akindele has taken to her social media page to lament over face mask usage and how it is limiting her celebrity advantage.
In a post shared on Twitter, the mother of two said using a face mask has made it difficult for people to recognize her in public places.
Sharing some of her experiences, the actress said she enters an eatery with her face mask and is treated like every other person until the attendants realize she is a celebrity.
According to the actress, the use of a face mask following the protocol to curb the spread of COVID-19 has limited her celebrity advantage.
She tweeted: You enter an eatery earing your face mask and sunglasses. You ask the attendant question and they answer reluctantly. Then maybe by chance they see your face and recognize you as an actress then that is when they will be like “awww it’s you jenifa, Hi ana waho!!
Kemi Filani recalls that the actress at the peak of COVID-19 lockdown in the year 2020, held a birthday party for her husband, JJC Skillz.
