Actress, Iyabo Ojo has fired back at veteran actor, Olofa Ina and the association of theater in Nigeria (TAMPAN).
KFN recalls that Olofa Ina revealed that Iyabo Ojo blasted and hung up on him after he called her to talk about Baba Ijesha’s rape case.
Reacting to this claim, the single mother of two said that she was not rude to Baba Olofa Ina when he called her.
According to Iyabo, she would not call him a liar cos he is an adult but what she told him was that she was not going to obey his instructions that she should keep mute on Baba Ijesha’s case.
“I won’t want to say an adult is lying but I was not rude to him.. the only thing he said was he does not want me to reply Yomi Fabiyi and I said no… I will reply Yomi if he says anything wrong… I should not be the one keeping quiet for Yomi.”
“He does not want me to say anything about Baba Ijesha’s case… I told him if it was his child, will he tell me to keep quite…And i did not reply him again… i kept mute till the call ended”
Iyabo however proceeded to apologize to Olofa Ina if he felt offended with what she told him on phone.
Speaking further on Baba Ijesha’s case, the 43-year-old said lots of Nollywood celebrities gave their support when she advocated for Baba Ijesha to bear the consequence of what he did only for these same people to go behind her back to say otherwise, adding that they are all hypocrites.
Addressing Yomi Fabiyi‘s statement about her, Iyabo said she does not understand him and he was doing all that to get her attention and to clout chase.
“Your matter is for another day,” Iyabo said
The actress also urged Nigerians not to worry about Baba Ijesha’s bail release because she strongly believes justice will prevail.
In her words;
“I still stand with that girl… Because Baba Ijesha was granted bail does not mean the case gas ended.. so all of you that you are rejoicing … let the court decided… I trust Nigeria, the girl must get justice… I don’t hate Baba Ijesha but I hate what he did to the girl and I stand with the girl and I will continue to stand with the girl… I am a mother.”
