The Alaafin Of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has bragged about being the only Yoruba Monarch blessed with triplets.
The 82 year old Alaafin of Oyo’s popularity curve gets a rise on social media whenever some of his pretty queens display his wealth, virility and proven ability to produce twins at will!
Currently, his long list of multiple births boasts a set of triplets.
Interestingly, the only queen that has a set of triplets, Ayaba Folashade seems to enjoy his attention lately.
Taking to Instagram recently, the handler of the highly revered monarch shared photos of his first set of triplets and their beautiful mum.
In one of the photos, the caption read, “Baba Yeye, the father of triplets and the only Yoruba traditional ruler with triplets since the first historic Eta-oko, historical records are there and the mother of the triplets, Ayaba Folashade Aishat Adeyemi.” (sic)
For Ayaba Folasade Aisat Adeyemi, mother of the triplets, Adeola, female; Adeniran, male; and Adebunmi, female, no world can be better than this.
Again, Iku Baba Yeye’s handler shared photos of the monarch and his queen and then captioned with an eulogy on Ayaba Folashade coupled with a historical insight on when last the Oyo monarchy produced a set of triplets.
It read, “Ayaba Folasade is knowledgeable and discerning about people, events, spiritual things, and life in general. She is discrete, choosing her words carefully and consciously for a desired outcome, not impulsively.
After the divine blessing of having a set of triplets at first child delivery, she is today one of the Ayabas with full initiations into royalty, capable of becoming a king’s mother one day.
After Alaafin Atiba, the first Alaafin , who had a set of triplets, Ayaba Aisat has the singular honour of being the next to achieve the feat.
Ayaba Folasade’s life teaches us that no matter what life deals to us, if we have faith in ourselves and in God, we can turn crises into blessings and difficulties into opportunities.
She serves as a role model for the younger Ayabas in the palace. Her life teaches others that love can triumph over anger, and that often we do not understand a particular event in our lives, but if we maintain our standards, ethics and dignity, blessings may well follow.
In an EXCLUSIVE chat, Ayaba Folasade thanked God Almighty for giving her “ caring, passionate, God-fearing, indomitable and pro-active Husband [the Alaafin] whose love , commitment and devotion to His Royal family is a veritable source of inspiration to other households”.
Her advice for women, “be submissive to your husbands, follow your heart…never give up…and you can do anything. We all have the ability to do whatever it is we want to do and fulfill any dream we want to fulfill; we just have to go and do it.” (sic)
