Nigerian filmmaker and famous actress, Dakore Egbuson Akande is a clear example of examination/education is not a true test of knowledge. The 41 year old’s beauty has remained evergreen despite the toll of age and motherhood.
The mother of two attended Corona School and Federal Government Girls’ College in Lagos and Bauchi respectively.
With Dakore’s ability to express herself easily and articulately without flinching, one would have thought she has got the highest university degree (PHD). Unfortunately and to the surprise of many, the classy Bayelsa born is not a university graduate.
According to Dakore, she did not graduate from the University of Lagos where she was studying Mass communication, due to incessant strikes.
Regardless, Dakore has been able to make a name for herself by working with prominent entertainment stars like Ireti Doyle, Tope Tedela, Omoni Oboli, Diana Yekinni and Tina Mba to mention a few.
The scandal free actress is currently an ambassador for Amnesty International, Amstel Malta and Oxfam of America. She was nominated for the 2014 ELOY Awards for the Brand Ambassador of the Year prize.
It is with no doubt that Dakore Egbuson Akande is an exceptional woman.
